It may not have been a ratings success, but its safe to say that Sharknado will be a cult hit, much like films Sharktopus and Snakes on a train became when word of mouth increased for the toothy project. With that being said, the SyFy channel is more than willing to pump some more cash into keeping B-grade horror flicks …
IGOR, IT’S ALIVE!… And it’s multiplying?! 2013 seems to be the year of Frankenstein, with (at last count) six different productions on the way either adapting or taking their inspiration from Mary Shelley’s famed literary creation. The one with the highest profile would undoubtedly be Stuart “Tomorrow When the War Began” Beattie’s I, Frankenstein, but how can you tell that one …
Steve McQueen is no stranger to getting inside people’s minds and hearts with such emotionally harrowing tales as Hunger and Shame, but it would appear that for his latest effort, he’s gone and scanned my brain as well. Assembling a cast of some of my favourite actors in the biz currently (Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and more) for this …

Things have been quiet on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past lately. The Bryan Singer directed sequel to the superb X-Men First Class is looking to bridge the divide between two X-Men universes, as well as that wretched Brett Ratner directed X-Men 3 film. The addition of Peter “Game of thrones” Dinklage to the main cast has also …
Okay, this is going to sound weird. According to just about everything I’ve read online from people who were fortunate enough to see I Declare War, a highly imaginative new coming of age indie flick, during its run on the festival circuit earlier in the year, I have to wholeheartedly recommend that everybody sees it. But – and here’s where it …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
