That you can play games better, smoother, and quicker than ever before while having full access to your personal legacy on Xbox Series X, makes for a console experience that comfortably transcends multiple generations. It's been a long wait for Microsoft to hit the reset button, but its new console proves that Xbox is finally back and ready to rock.

One of the draws of the Xbox brand is how it has a heck of a lot of games available on it from a bygone era. Backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 and original Xbox games was a big deal when it was announced several years ago at E3 by Xboss Phil Spencer, and since then Microsoft has continued to add classic games to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X system at a steady clip.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man, or as the game will be known outside of the US, Kilometer Morales: Spider-Man, won’t have a shortage of villains when it swings onto PS5 next week. The OG Spider-Man had his hands full with the Sinister Six, escaped prisoners, and the Taskmaster in 2018, but Miles will be facing a threat even worse than Galactus when he gets the munchies after passing through some groovy cosmic nebula: American capitalism.

If you think you have what it takes to be a good games tester and want to improve the quality of the titles you play, your time could be coming up.

Activision Blizzard’s premiere pew pew franchise is almost upon us, and just like last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it’s going to be an absolute unit to download. You’ll be able to start pre-loading Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War November 5 on PS4 and Xbox One, from November 10 on PC and Xbox Series X, and November 12 on PS5.

Surprise! Another game has announced that it’ll be hitting 4K 60FPS visuals on a next-gen console. I know, sit down, this is news that you definitely haven’t heard before. I’m oddly excited for this entry though which will be in “dynamic” 4K and up to 60FPS, as Days Gone has been on my radar for a while, but I’ve been too busy and broke to grab it since it released last year.

Many of you will probably offload your old consoles before moving to next-gen, and that’s great! But please, before you do…clean your damn controllers.

Solasta: Crown of the Magistar is an impressively authentic mechanical adaption of Dungeons and Dragons 5E, but unfortunately fails to deliver on any storytelling and uses a combat system that can become frustratingly tedious far too quickly.
