From Software are really, really busy. They’re not only co-developing a new Steel Battalion with Capcom, they’re also hard at work on something they’re calling Project Dark. Little is known about the game at the moment, other than that it’s a dark fantasy action RPG, and it’s supposed to appeal to fans of the studio’s sleeper hit, Demons Souls. A …
Browsing through the comments under my first girl gaming and gaming lifestyle column, one statement was repeatedly confirmed by readers. And that is how women who play video games are, on the whole, more likely to fall into the casual gaming category, as opposed to the hardcore and ultra-competitive. We previously established that there are plenty of women – of …
Ok Microsoft, we get it. You said there’d be core games for Kinect..and you weren’t lying. now you’re trying to appeal to my sense of nostalgia. Bastards! Yukio Futatsugi, the fellow who created Panzer Dragoon (and the incredible Phantom Dust) has confirmed he’ll be making a game for Kinect, in which you use your body to fly dragons. Panzer Dragoon, …
Ok, ok I know this is the third piece of Team ICO news I’ve posted this week, but months go by without a peep from them… months! More surprising news from Microsoft at TGS this year. As some of the more frequent readers may know, wrestling games are a guilty pleasure of mine. One of my favourites growing up was the fire pro wrestling series on the SuperFamicom (Japan’s version of the SNES). It’s a series of games well known in Japan for having incredibly deep gameplay …
Back in 2002, Capcom released Steel Battalion on the original Xbox. It was a combat game in which you controlled a vertical, bipedal tank – or mech if you’re more sensible. It required an insane Two-stick, 40 button controller and has gone on to become a collector’s item, and a bit of a cult classic. At TGS this year, Capcom …
“Hey Fa**ot, I totally f****ed your g*y mom last night while I was PWZORRORIZNG your ugly face with my my sniper rifle and tea-bagging your girlfriend with my huge ba**s. Sound familiar? Well if you’ve ever played Halo then you would know exactly where foul-mouthed creativity like that comes from. Even though it’s the words of a 40 year old …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
