We all know that there is no way to play games online these days without running into at least a handful of stupid, immature, loud and just plain annoying gamers who think they are God’s gift to us all. Something that the majority of our readers don’t know however, is how much worse it can be if you are a …
Want some great deals for PS3 goodies? These were just tweeted by reader FoxOneZA: “PS3 120gb Slim + Burnout Paradise for R2999 at Makro. Also PS3 controller+Infamous+Uncharted 2 for R699 at Makro.” Uncharted 2, Infamous and a controller for R699? That’s friggin’ ludicrous, I don’t see that stock lasting very long at all. Anyways, so this guy at QuakeCon sold …
If you’ve never heard of Gary’s Mod for Half Life 2, it’s basically a mod environment type-thing that allows people to mess around and do whatever they want. While I did nothing more than creating some huge spinning tyre thing with trolleys falling on it, some people take tools like that and make incredible creations from them. This short machinima …
I have always said nothing but kind words about the original Mafia. In many ways I found it to be way ahead of its time. The story was fantastic, the game itself (although really difficult) was great fun and it really flew under a lot of peoples radars. Well Mafia II has just been released in the US and will …
I had some hands on time with Medal of Honor at E3 and absolutely loved it but the beta that was recently released wasn’t exactly a resounding success. EA received a ton of complaints around hit detection, lack of ammo, weapon balancing, support actions and graphics. The good thing however is that they appear to have taken them all to …
Halo Reach was released to Xbox Live Marketplace, hidden and only accessible to games reviewers. a group of sneaky hacker types managed to bypass Xbox Live’s security, downloading the game for themselves. they then released it – in Games on Demand and ISO form – to the internet at large. Microsoft have not taken kindly to their biggest game of …
Once one of the most vociferous developer detractors of Sony’s PS3, Valve have done a complete 180 degrees. Ever since Gabe Newell nervously joined Sony on stage at E3 to announce Portal 2 and a “lite†version of Steam for the console, they’ve been extolling its virtues. Their latest gushing praise even takes a very subtle stab at the competition, …
I was lucky enough to receive an invite to the Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Master League Online beta. This not only allowed me to try out the online version of a mode I have dedicated hundreds of hours to over the years but also gave me a sneak peek into what is to come from this year’s “revamped†version of …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
