By Darryn Bonthuys

Wolverines! Not just the rallying call of a band of renegades in Red Dawn, but also the name of a very tenacious species of homicidal bastard badger that has the hair trigger temper usually reserved for people who get offended by woke shaving razor commercials. There’s an old Seed church that happens to be infested with wolverines and loot, so you know what to do: Bust in, get the goods and scram in a blaze of glory.

While Blomkamp may be hit or miss with his films, there’s no denying that the man knows how to actually make a good-looking film. Kervyn has actually mentioned this before, highlighting the fact that Blomkamp is a genius behind the camera and the last person you want actually writing the script for a flick. Heck, give him somebody’s else material, and Blomkamp can create something magical. Like this glorified trailer slash short film for Anthem which is named after the best Splinter Cell game, Conviction.

In life, Jade was a master assassin, famously known for both her loyal friendship to Princess Kitana and her iconic green attire. She still thrashes her enemies with her bo staff, razorrang, and patronising put-downs.

Well here’s some more Warhammer in a different genre vein, just in case you can’t get enough of the stuff, like some sort of addict who snorts a line of powdered Drakesworn Templar in the morning: Warhammer Chaosbane, a new game that aims to take a stab, hack and a slash at Diablo as it goes for the RPG jugular.

Upcoming end of days survival sandbox Days Gone has been hinting at the power of loss, the magnitude of the weight that it puts on the shoulders of its protagonist Deacon St. John and the survivor’s guilt that he carries with him. And in this latest trailer for the game? I’m…I’m kind of starting to feel for the guy. Oh. Oh no. OH NO HELP ME GUYS I’M FEEEEEEEEEELING!

Red Dead Online’s next beta is going to make griefing a lot more dangerous

By Darryn Bonthuys

Red Dead Online may be a great way to spend an afternoon, pretending to be a cowboy who is making his fortune in a hostile new frontier, but it certainly isn’t easy to do so when the map happens to be populated with all manner of black-hatted griefers. Developer Rockstar Games is looking to curb this destructive attitude in the next big update.

Underwhelming returns and scarce internal resources led to Activision to part ways with Bungie and Destiny

By Darryn Bonthuys

Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion was doing nice numbers, audience retention looked good and the annual pass content model seemed set to reinvigorate the franchise further by doubling down on what makes Destiny great in the first place. If your first guess as to why the relationship began to sour and happens to rhyme with hunny, then buddy you’d be right on the mark.
