However after they get lost in the depths of an ancient forest, they encounter a malevolent evil that doesn't want them to leave.

Crybaby lives and dies by the strength of its animation. It is at times incredibly vibrant and at other times muted and restrained, but the action is always dynamic. It can be a glorious showcase of needless violence, awesome monsters and endearing characters. On the other hand, it can also be a disappointing, clumsily sentimental and ultimately hollow experience.
