Comedy and horror have always had a close relationship, so it probably should come as no surprise that it took a comedian to give us one of the most effective, thought provoking and timeliest horror films of recent memory.

Thanks to China, Escape Plan proved a success for its big action stars, which means we are getting another one as the cast looks to break themselves out of something bigger this time. Oh, and there's a cool robot too.

Way before Iron Fist had hit our screens with limp-wristed effect last week, the latest Marvel/Netflix series had already been embroiled in controversy regarding its casting. Controversy that Marvel very nearly avoided.

Life is not a second coming of horror films nor the smartest film you’re going to see this year, but nonetheless will keep you enthralled throughout its journey and leave you gasping for air at all the right moments.
