Some movies were made to have their story continue on the smaller screen. The 1980s and 90s were a prime example of this, as just about every week there seemed to be a new cartoon based on a recent film being broadcast. Some it was great! I’m talking stuff like Men In Black, Jumanji and Extreme Ghostbusters. And then some of the choices for adaptations were just downright weird. Here’s ten such baffling choices which somehow made it from the drawing board and onto TV.

Power Rangers and Get Out are the two biggies of today's batch of new cinema releases. Otherwise there's Life, CHiPS, Kampterrein and The Sense of an Ending to cover all your genre bases.

Comedy and horror have always had a close relationship, so it probably should come as no surprise that it took a comedian to give us one of the most effective, thought provoking and timeliest horror films of recent memory.

Thanks to China, Escape Plan proved a success for its big action stars, which means we are getting another one as the cast looks to break themselves out of something bigger this time. Oh, and there's a cool robot too.

Way before Iron Fist had hit our screens with limp-wristed effect last week, the latest Marvel/Netflix series had already been embroiled in controversy regarding its casting. Controversy that Marvel very nearly avoided.

From the gigantic rotting head of a dead Celestial through to the shining spires that house the Nova Corps, the galaxy is as wondrous to explore as it is lethal in these Marvel movies. A beauty that’ll be amped up even further in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, especially when Ego the Living Planet makes an appearance.
