I haven’t enjoyed playing Call of Duty’s multiplayer in years. In fact, it’s probably been about a decade since I spent more than a handful of hours getting my ass handed to me in each game’s adversarial element. And it’s not just because I suck, though that probably has a lot to do with it. Running around, killing or being killed without some sort of narrative impetus just isn’t for me – which is where Call of Duty WWII’s War Mode has me excited for the series multiplayer again.
