I for one, welcome our new machine overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted Internet personality, I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground Silicone caves. Or at the very least, I’d instrumental in hunting down rogue StarCraft 2 pros so that they could be humiliated by the machines in their grand arenas that prove their overall superiority.

The annual tournament that brings together teams from all over the world to throw ultimate abilities at one another turned out to be a gruelling baptism by fire for the boys in blue.

Wherever there’s a new console to be launched, you can bet your toastiest of buns that Ubisoft will be there to spread their specific brand across any hardware that’s fresh out of the box. Next year sees two new consoles arrive to herald in the next generation of gaming: Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s next Xbox which is currently operating under the codename of Project Scarlett.

Sony, purveyors of the once incredibly popular karaoke series Singstar, has announced that the game in all its guises will soon be no more. Early next year, Sony will be shutting down SingStar’s SingStore servers, removing the ability to download new songs. Says the message that was sent to loyal Singstar players:

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, once the most played game on Steam, has maintained a shadow of its former player base, but it’s not quite dead either.

Cross-platform play is a thing now, thanks to Sony finally opening the gates of their walled garden a little. In a recent earnings call, Ubibos Yves Guillemot said that the company planned to add the feature to every one of its existing games with PvP.

Darker, grimmer and filled with Werebears because the Druid class is back baby! Diablo 4 sounds like a fun time excuse to go back to hell if these rumours are true.

The sequel to the cult-hit action RPG will be hitting a Sony console near you on March 13th 2020.
