One of the biggest titles at this years E3 was Killzone 3 and Sony didn’t disappoint by having 12 stations setup demonstrating the single player campaign in either 2D or 3D. Unfortunately the queue to get onto a 3D station was just to long so I only had a go with the 2D version. The demo starts of with you …
My biggest disappointment of E3 was that fact that I never got any hands on time with Gears of War 3 while I was here. IGN however managed to throw a bit of their weight around and go behind closed doors for some hands on with the new Beast Mode. From what I can understand Beast mode is pretty much …
AceyBongo has used his Twitter account to announce a brand new feature on the Xbox 360. Demo Achievements. The idea is beautifully simple and is being demonstrated in the Crackdown 2 demo that will be available to all Gold members tomorrow. Last Updated: June 21, 2010
If you managed to catch Ubisoft’s Presentation at E3, you’d have noticed that they kicked it off with the rather beautiful Child of Eden, played without a controller by the games designer, Tetsuya Mizuguchi. It was a wonderful showcase for Kinect and would have had much more impact with gamers were it shown at Microsoft’s own keynote. Instead, Microsoft chose …
One of the bigger shocks from Sony’s keynote was the appearance of a rather nervous, and still rotund Gabe Newell. Surprising not only because he famously rubbished the PS3, but because he proclaimed that Portal 2 on PS3 would be the best console version available. Why? Steamworks. Steamworks will allow for Portal 2 auto-updates, downloadable content, and community support directly …
Did you watch the MGS : rising video and upon seeing Raiden cut a dude in half while cutting him in half think “This would be perfect for motion control, and would make that Star Wars Kinect thing look completely stupid in comparison?†Well it seems that the action-oriented prequel to MGS4 may just get waggle of its very …
Codemasters have secured the rights to create the new series of official Formula One games and have set out to create a game that is very different from their latest titles. Grid was loved by some and hated by others for its strange driving physics that didn’t agree with everyone. Codemasters hopes to bring their flair to a franchise that …
If you haven’t already read my GT5 hands-on preview, I suggest you do so right now. I did originally say that I would be giving impressions of GT5 in 3D from E3, but thanks to limited time and some ridiculously long lines, I wasn’t able to test it out. What I was able to test out however, was GT5 running …
