It’s apparently enough of an issue that AMD’s deemed it necessary to write a blog post about the high temperatures seen in the Radeon RX 5700 cards. In the post, they say that the 110 °C users have experienced when gaming is normal, with those high temps “expected and within spec."

Gamescom kicks off next week. While it doesn’t quite have the general industry hype that E3 tends to have, it’s easily my favourite of the great big Western video game conventions. Open to the public, Gamescom sees more than 360 000 people through its hallowed halls every year, looking to celebrate the latest available and upcoming video games. It’s also hosted in one of my favourite cities on the planet, Cologne. I’ve gone on a bit of a tangent, I suppose.

By the sound of things, Need for Speed Heat is mixing a celebration of car culture (FORZA HORIZON 4 SENSES TINGLING!) with its trademark racing against the thin blue line, as players will hit the streets during the day to take part in the official Speedhunters Showdown competition where they can earn some scratch to upgrade their rides and then use those vehicles to take on the law.

. Steam’s added a little feature allowing you to tag games you own elsewhere, so they’ll no longer show up in your recommendations. Different to just hiding and ignoring games for perpetuity, the new feature will have Steam still use those games in the recommendation algorithms.

Destiny 2 is finally giving its awful and cluttered Pursuits tab a facelift

By Darryn Bonthuys
