Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was easily the biggest cinematic surprise of 2017. There’s not much surprising about Jumanji: The Next Level though. If you want to lean fully into the video game trappings that the previous film employed so brilliantly to modernize this affair, this is not so much a sequel as it is extra downloadable content (DLC). DLC can still be fun though.

Now, she runs to save herself and her son from demonic spirits from the cursed house in her neighborhood.
