AMC greenlights Joe Hill’s supernatural horror NOS4A2 to series

Cable network AMC have picked up horror author Joe Hill's 2013 novel, NOS4A2. It introduces Vic McQueen, a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx.  Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law.

Marshall is a film with all the hallmarks for greatness and thanks to some brilliant acting, a strong script and superb production values, it gets close. It does end up holding back a little to much on the grittiness and emotion of its story though which prevents it from achieving the greatness it deserves.
