E3 is done and dusted. The biggest video game event on the planet isn’t actually the biggest at all. E3 sees an annual attendance of around 50 000 people every year. That number was bolstered by public attendance this time to just under 70 000 visitors. Even with that surplus, it all pales in comparison to Gamescom, which regularly sees attendance of around 350 000 people. And now it's seeing the boss of Germany, Angela Merkel.

For a launch title, Knack was…well it wasn’t bad. It had plenty of charm and it looked stunning at the time, but the game suffered from a few atrocious flaws that prevented it from being an instant classic. A sequel would be welcome, provided that a few fundamental improvements were made over at PlayStation’s Japan Studio. Ideas and improvements that the team behind Knack 2 wanted in the first game but couldn’t manage the first time around.
