If there’s two things to know about me, it’s that I have a deep love for two games in particular: Pokémon and Destiny. Both games offer incredibly different experiences, but what if they were fused into one almighty being that was both cute and deadly? Monster Hunter: Rise is fantastic from start to finish. It feels like a game that many will come to consider an essential on the Nintendo Switch thanks to it’s stunning graphics, addictive gameplay loop, consistently engaging combat, and bountiful bowls of unlockable content. Oh, and fighting alongside giant cats and dogs is simply too cool.

It’s time once again, to finally settle the debate over which Destiny 2 class is the best. Will you side with the nimble Hunters who can conjure murder-knives out of thin air and fling them into your face? Will you join your fellow Titans as human tanks that can smash their way through actual paracausal gods from beyond mortal reckoning? Or will you be with me in Warlock club, crying about how Bungie keeps nerfing the space wizards whenever they finally get a cool toy?

Here’s this week’s episode, in which we quickly got over a case of the Moon-Bends, talked for four hours about Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the delightful Kaze and the Wild Masks, Square Enix’s recent showcase, and promised to go back to the one place that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism: SPACE!

Capcom has a big year ahead of it, as Monster Hunter Rise is out in a few days and will then be followed shortly by Tall Vampire Lady Fan Art Generator 3000 aka Resident Evil Village. Anticipation is building up for the latest entry in Capcom’s undead series, and in a world where video games are the best escape from all too real horrors, it’ll probably sell gangbusters as well.

The best app these days for sharing words, audio, and video is easily Discord. I know it, you know it, and Microsoft definitely knows it as the company is looking to grab the video-game chat community in a deal valued at $10 billion.

In a game that includes a green steroid rage machine, a god of thunder, and a living World War 2 legend flinging a giant frisbee around, it’s amazing how a regular dude lobbing pointed sticks at murder machines might just be one of the most powerful characters around.
