It’s very nearly E3 time, and you know what that means! Conjecture, supposition and plain old wishful thinking in the form of rumours and leaks! We’ve already gotten our first major Ubisoft leak thanks to the untimely reveal of Ubisoft’s rollerblading game, Roller Champions. Now comes another, in the form of something called the “Ubisoft Pass Premium.”
Over the last couple of years since Xboss Phil Spencer took over the brand, things have changed for Microsoft. Their E3 press conference has evolved into a blitzkrieg of trailers that highlight third-party and first-party games for the Xbox One and PC, a show that has minimal waffling and maximum excitement. Last year’s show was especially good, a highlight reel of expected and new games for team green. This year? That show is going to run a full two hours.
We’ve known that the PlayStation 5 (or whatever it ends up being called when it’s revealed, likely later this year) will be backwards compatible with the PlayStation 4, ever since Wire had the very first scoop about what the system might be like. It makes sense. With both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 running on similar, X86-64 architecture and their successors doing the same, backwards compatibility will make the transition to the new generation a little easier.
