There’s nothing surprising about Warhammer: Chaosbane, but I’m a bigger fan of a game which is comfortable in its own skin and is unapologetic about the kind of experience that it wants to be.

Days Gone reviews round-up – Here’s what critics think of Sony’s latest PlayStation 4 exclusive

By Geoffrey Tim

Sony has been on a winning streak with its first-party exclusives, knocking it out of the park with great games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. Mortal Kombat 11 is a damned good fighting game, but there are some worthwhile complaints about its progression system. The game’s cosmetic unlocks are numerous, and require hundreds – if not thousands – of hours of grinding to unlock. For completeness, it’s a bit of a nightmare. The whole system seems to have been built using the sort of progression you’d find in free-to-play mobile games, and it’s irksome.
