Nvidia’s new GTX 1660 balances power usage, performance and cost

Nvidia recently revealed its new 1660Ti, which is a Turing-based card like the new RTX ones – only without the stuff that makes the latest Turning cards interesting and appealing. Now, there’s a another card. The 1660 without the Ti bit on the end is available from today, coming in at a very palatable £199/ $219. The suggested local pricing is around R3699 including VAT.

There’s still some life in the bones of Assassin’s Creed III, as Ubisoft wants to give the polarising sequel a second chance over on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Knowing full well that they couldn’t just take the original game, slap on some new textures and call it a day, Ubisoft has decided to try and spruce up Assassin’s Creed 3 with some quality of life upgrades.

You get the exception to the rule now and then, but for the most part it’s easy to roll your eyes when you hear of another game claiming to have a vast and open world that is just begging to be explored. One of the bigger tricks that developers use? Telling you the player, that your choices actually matter when in fact the consequences for your actions seldom carry any weight to them.
