69,200 people visited E3 this year

As far as attendees go, it was the busiest E3 since 2005. According to E3 organiser The ESA, this year saw 69,200 people step through the heavily guarded and secure doors of the the Los Angeles Convention Centre. They came to see the 3250 products, games and services demonstrated by 200 exhibitors -- including 85 companies that were exhibiting for the first time.

It’s a story that we’ve seen unfold often enough in our own history, as Greedfall’s setup smacks of influences that range from its visuals being directly inspired by Baroque art to the core story that we were shown at E3 playing out like Pocahontas if Mel Gibson directed it.

The Surge had some great ideas, but their execution wasn’t always pot-on. The environment around you was duller than small talk, enemies frequently repeated their actions and the weapons available were limited in their design. In The Surge 2, it looks like Deck 13 has gone to town on fixing a lot of the criticism that followed in the wake of the first game’s launch.
