Acclaimed Canadian born funnyman Russell Peters is leaving the stand-up comedy stage to star in a new Netflix mini-series entitled The Indian Detective... Unfortunately, it looks rather terrible!

One thing we get too often in the horror genre is sequels. So its refreshing that its taken more than 10 years to finally get a sequel to the terrifying The Strangers. Especially one that looks to be every bit as tense and suspenseful as the first.

Despite the occasionally dodgy CGI scene, Henry Cavill’s moustache being banished to the Phantom Zone and the Flash running like a tranquilised Ace Venture, there’s a lot to like about Justice League. It’s not a perfect film and it’ll probably fall victim to hyper-criticism in this opionated day and age, but as a standalone flick that builds on what came before it? It’s definitely a step in the right direction. It’s even more enjoyable in the end credits sequence however, much to the chagrin of the cinema staff who want your butts out of the seats so that they can clean up.

Lost and The Leftovers screenwriter Damon Lindelof is currently adapting the classic Alan Moore comic book series Watchmen for HBO. He hopes that the subversive nature of the source material will allow him to make a "dangerous" TV series for these dangerous times.

Thanks to a very troubled production, the Justice League we saw released into cinemas this weekend past is not the movie that original director Zack Snyder was going to make. And some of the eventual changes and omissions may have been better left intact.
