Scarlet Nexus is now a mere month and some change away, and I'm already liking what I'm seeing: Action set in a world that looks very very anime in its construction. That idea has been magnified, compounded, and something else that does mathematical multiplication because Bandai Namco just released the opening animation for the game, which goes full Gundam.
For all those folks that looked at The Division and thought, “Sure, but I ain’t paying for that,” then do I have some good news for you, cheapskate.
Borderlands 3 launched in 2019, rolled out a quartet of DLC expansions after arrival, and is currently available as a director's cut featuring a whole bunch of extra content. Gamescom organizers originally intended to hold a hybrid event this year which would have featured both hands-on time with games in real life and streams, but that risky decision was fortunately reworked. Returnal's a pretty solidly-designed game overall, with only the most minor of bugs occasionally cropping up and making a current run through its biomes that much more challenging. Biome, what a fun word to say. Like any game in the modern age, developer Housemarque had a patch locked and loaded to fix up any lingering issues, but the latest update may have had the unfortunate side-effect of uh…wiping save-games.
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
