Steam announces “Remote Play Together” bringing online support to local multiplayer games

By Geoffrey Tim

Local co-op and couch gaming are largely dead; a relic of the past because – certain party games excluded - it’s so seldom that people invite friends over to play video games. Instead, people now play video games with their friend over the internet. Next month, Google will officially launch its cloud gaming enterprise, Stadia. Using the power of the cloud and their own processing farms, Google will allow players to play the latest and greatest games, without having to own expensive hardware. It works - but it will soon work even better.

in :  Gaming

Ideas may give birth to games, but it is art that shapes those dreams into something tangible. Art that guides a project, that gives it a signature look and a style that sets it apart from other games. In an age where everything was browner than Midrand in summer, Borderlands was a revelation at the time. Colourful, cheeky and brimming with personality, it was the visuals that helped set this grand experiment apart from so many other games that were released at the time.

The Simpson’s Hit & Run producer discusses chances of a remaster

By Geoffrey Tim

Hey, remember the Simpson’s Hit & Run? The PC, PS2 and Xbox game was probably the best Simpsons game ever made, done all the way back when the series was still funny. The follow up to The Simpsons: Road Rage which was a Crazy Taxi clone, was itself more than just inspired by the unbelievably popular Grand Theft Auto. With its own vehicular focus, Simpson Hit ‘n Run took the GTA open world formula and applied it Springfield, with the mad sort of Simpson's zaniness you’d expect.

ASMR at its finest, a relaxing collection of sounds that make me feel at ease and peaceful before I grab a shiny new revolver and use it to make heads explode across all of creation.
