Gemma Atkinson in Red Alert 3

By Gavin Mannion

Red Alert is pretty famous for its over the top cut scenes and cheesy dialogue and it looks like Red Alert 3 isn’t going to disappoint us in any way. How many of the ladies in the army do you think walk around with some strategic buttons not quite done up? Though if you are one of the few people in …

Microsoft to buy the PlayStation brand?

By Gavin Mannion

Lets get something straight right away, I am not a fan of the one console future that certain large companies and fans have been talking about. I honestly think a single console future is one of the worst possible options out there but that being said… if we were going to go for a one console future how is this …

Rage – John Carmack Interview

By Nick De Bruyne

No, not the gaming expo. We are talking about the new offering from id Software. In this interview Carmack discusses some of the technical aspects of their new engine, the game as well as the decision of whether or not to use Blu-Ray on PC. This game is looking ridiculously good from a technical point of view but I do wonder how much it will be scaled down on the console versions. I take it that a Wii version will be sitting this one out.

Gamedaily's list of games that will probably suck

By Nick De Bruyne
August 6, 2008
in :  Gaming

Gamedaily has posted up an article about games that they think will probably suck. Some of these games are ones that you may expect and others are a lot more controversial. Either way, they caution you to hold on to your cash instead of running out and buying any of them. The List is as follows: 1. Wii Music 2.... Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway 5.... Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood 7.... This is Vegas 10. Anything that begins with "Imagine" Many of these seem like sure-fire suck fests, but then we have to look at an upcoming title like LittleBigPlanet and have to wonder if it will actually live up to the hype. I think that LBP is looking very cool and does feature a lot of innovative ideas especially where communities are concerned but I still have that feeling that no one will be playing it after a month or two. I'm not being hard on the game, but a lot of the media is hyping it up to be the PS3's killer-app and I just don't see it filling shoes like that. What really does scare me is something like Wii Music, although I was seriously unimpressed with it's showing at E3, I have that sad feeling that it is still going to sell by the bucket-load. For all of the explanations behind these choices you can view the source article below. What do you think of the choices? Let us know if you think that some of those titles don't deserve to be on that list as well as if there are any titles that do.
