There’s a new Need for Speed coming this year, but you won’t see it at E3

We know that there’s a new Need for Speed from mega-publisher EA coming at some point. In a post on Reddit, Ghost Games has given a little more detail on the when, but very little on the what. In a post on Reddit, Ghost games has confirmed that they’re the team that’s working on the next Need for Speed, which will be out at some point this year. You won’t, however, see it at this year’s E3 in any way, shape or form.

Last year’s inaugural Comic Con Africa was pretty good, but there were one or two of the initially promised attendees who didn’t make it. The most obvious is The MCU’s Falcon, Anthony Mackie, whose flight was cancelled at the 11th hour thanks to inclement weather. The other big omission? The pair of esteemed, ubiquitous video game voice actors Nolan North and Troy Baker. They're here this year.

Iron Maiden’s holding company is none too pleased with the fact that the 3D Realms logo and marketing for Ion Maiden bears a certain resemblance to the intellectual property of the band and they’re throwing a legal haymaker that claims that the game is “an effort to confuse consumers into believing Defendant’s products and services are somehow affiliated with or approved by Iron Maiden”.

The free games included with each console’s online subscriptions have been middling of late, but I must admit that June’s Instant Game Collection for PlayStation 4 owners is pretty sweet. The only problem? I already own both. Sucks to be me. The games that PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to download next month are Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and Sonic Mania, both of which are excellent.
