By Brad Lang

Yesterday I had to wait 3 hours to have a chicken schnitzel for supper, and that’s...well, it’s just a long time to wait for a schnitzel. Worst part is, is that in that time of need during load shedding, I didn’t even have video games to distract me from the pain of an absent schnitzel. That’s why I found these ten games to play during load shedding and thought I’d share them with you!

Ubisoft profits are up and they didn’t even have to fire 800 people

By Geoffrey Tim

It’s that time of the year where the great big Triple-A publishers release their financials for the quarter, talking about how much money they made in one breath, while firing close to ten percent of their workforce with the next. It’s Ubisoft’s turn at bat with an earnings report, but I’m happy to say that while the company has also had an increase in earnings, it hasn’t sent anybody to the unemployment line.

Watch the Anthem prequel short film Conviction from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp

By Darryn Bonthuys

in :  Gaming

While Blomkamp may be hit or miss with his films, there’s no denying that the man knows how to actually make a good-looking film. Kervyn has actually mentioned this before, highlighting the fact that Blomkamp is a genius behind the camera and the last person you want actually writing the script for a flick. Heck, give him somebody’s else material, and Blomkamp can create something magical. Like this glorified trailer slash short film for Anthem which is named after the best Splinter Cell game, Conviction.

Now resurrected by an evil sorcerer, she serves the Netherrealm as an undead Revenant. Death hasn’t slowed Jade down, though. She still thrashes her enemies with her bo staff, razorrang, and patronising put-downs.

Crackdown 3 review – Crews Control

By Sam Spiller

I must be level with you for a moment. I did not play Crackdowns 1 and 2. I was busy killing Sims in my swimming pool for the graveyard on my property. But gazing into the past, I am witness to a franchise that, while not having aged well, amounts to a pretty fun time. The first Crackdown was an …

By Darryn Bonthuys

Well here’s some more Warhammer in a different genre vein, just in case you can’t get enough of the stuff, like some sort of addict who snorts a line of powdered Drakesworn Templar in the morning: Warhammer Chaosbane, a new game that aims to take a stab, hack and a slash at Diablo as it goes for the RPG jugular.
