Destiny 2 was an alright game when it launched. And then, once people had ploughed through all of its content, they realised it actually wasn’t. The end game was weak, the loot was middling and there was nothing to entice players to come back to the game. Over the course of a few bits of DLC and with the latest full expansion Forsaken, Destiny 2 is a significantly better game.

Cyberpunk 2077 feels different. Sure, it looks fantastic, but there’s also a certain sub-text below the visuals that seem to hint at a story that knows exactly which direction it wants to take its narrative in. That’s not accidental, as developer CD Projekt Red isn’t shying away from spreading its own message through the tale.
