Games with Gold will test both your agility and brain with Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and the puzzling masterpiece The Witness headlining a great months for the service.
This month’s PlayStation Plus Instant Games collection is probably the finest the service has ever had. Subscribers received two full retail games – that both happen to be shining jewels in the PlayStation 4 library. You can’t really top Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank, and that offering isn’t being bested this month. Still, it’s not a bad selection of games coming.
Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age will hit that platform and PlayStation 4 on September 4, bringing with it a ton of localised features. English dialogue, increased difficulty modes, better menus and a first-person camera are just some of the features that fans can expect to see.
While the majority of Far Cry 5 may focus on a more sombre and reserved tale of religion and cults of personality, its upcoming DLC looks ready to take the series in a much weirder direction that takes place in an apocalypse ravaged by zombies, a flashback to the Vietnam War maaaan and even setting foot on Mars.
One of Far Cry 5’s greatest strengths? Not just its visuals and keen storytelling that has one hell of a great ending, but also its soundtrack.
To its credit, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a lean and focused fighting game that is easy enough to pick up and jam. Where it goes over 9000 with its fan service, is in the application of dramatic finishes. This week, FighterZ powers up with more of that good content.
Fortnite Battle Royale free, easy to learn and best of all it’s suitable for most age groups. There’s never a spot of blood spilt in any match, and provided that your young ones are playing outside of a group chat, the chances of them being sworn at are pretty much zero. That hasn’t stopped one Australian media outlet from grabbing an alarmist brush and going to town on the game.
There’s a unique strength to the Nintendo Switch, that no other console on the market can touch currently. At home on a TV screen or in the streets, the Nintendo Switch does a lot with very little. Which is also an apt description of how my brain works. The Big N’s latest console may not have games which feature cutting edge visuals, but then again it doesn’t need to.
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
