This year, the grind might be easier for players. Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu scales back the action, giving players the choice of two games: Traditional battling and Pokémon capture that’s straight outta Pokémon Go. There’s also far fewer Pokémon to catch, a mere 151 of the fellas to add to your Pokedex as opposed to the hundreds and hundreds of other pocket critters that are sitting in my Pokémon Bank right now. Does that make Pokemon’s traditional endgame a more diminished affair? Not exactly.

So much so that there’s an annual Tetris World Championship that has opponents stacking up (and hopefully clearing) tetrominoes that descend at an increasingly rapid pace, vying for high scores. The Classic Tetris World Championship is played using the 1989 NES version of Tetris and requires eagle-eyed vision, quick-thinking and lightning reflexes.

Motive Studios founder Jade Raymond has left EA

Jade Raymond, formerly of Ubisoft and one of the creative forces behind Assassin’s Creed joined EA in 2015 as one of the co-founders of EA”s Motive Studio in Montreal. Motive was heavily involved in the since cancelled Amy Hennig-led narrative-driven Star Wars game that Visceral Games was working on before EA shut them down, cancelling the game. She's now left EA.
